Devlog #01: Roadmap

Alright, here's the deal. When I thought up this game for the FINAL BOSS Mini Game Jam, I had a lot more ideas for the game. However, I chose quality over quantity, which is why the current game is an arcade game. However, I still want to update and improve the game to the state I envisioned. So that is what I will do.

I am doing this primarily by myself, with a few friends to help out. I am also doing this during my free time since I got other projects taking up my time. The plan is to follow a roadmap and try to keep on track. The final release won't be for a while because I don't want to rush it. It's not a long game, short at best, but the animation is the time consumer. But it's my choice, so I got to stick with it.

----------

It's a lot, but I think it would be nice for the game to be in its intended state.

As mentioned, polishing the current game is first up. This will be the only phase with the game re-releasing on Itch.io with improvements. The animation will be tricky, but it shouldn't take too long. It took me three days to make the current animation of the game, with it being primarily barebones. I would like to improve it before focusing on the boss battle itself. I will also fix bugs relating to collisions, hitboxes, and other stuff. Sounds and music will also be tampered with, and I'll add arrow key controls to go along with the WASD key controls. When I reach phase 2, the only time the game will be updated on Itch.io will be for bug fixes.

When I reach phase 2, I'll go into more detail about what I set to do. In the meantime, thanks for playing my game.
